ROYSTON TAPESTRY
Royston Tapestry is an extraordinary creation which records the history of Royston in Hertfordshire. It took over 25 years to complete and is 25 metres long. This exhibition in Royston Museum was created to tell the story of the Tapestry, showcase some of it's features and celebrate the work of the many embroiderers who helped make it happen. It also highlights the challenge it has created for the Museum - they don't actually have enough space to put it on display! The exhibition panels were designed to reflect the look of the Tapestry including fabric, materials, patterns and stitched lettering.
