POWYS WAR MEMORIALS TOOLKITS

 

These toolkits were designed to encourage people in Powys to engage with their local war memorials and research the lives of the people listed on them during the centenary of the First World War. The toolkits are supplied as interactive PDFs on a CD. Three different toolkits were produced for different audiences and purposes (with English and Welsh versions of each). They contain huge amounts of information, but were designed to make them look as inviting as possible. We also spent a lot of time working on the navigation and interactive links to make it as easy as possible for all users to quickly find their way to the information they need. The graphic style is based on an old notebook dotted with a range of images and artefacts to look like the desk of somebody researching the history of the memorials.
