FRADLEY JUNCTION

Fradley Junction, in Staffordshire, where the Coventry Canal meets the Trent & Mersey Canal,

is one of the busiest places on the waterways network. This project, for British Waterways,

helps to make the site more welcoming and accessible for visitors. Welcome signs give a brief introduction to the Junction and help to orientate visitors. The panels also incorporate audio, helping to bring them to life and make them more accessible for people with visual impairments. Other panels interpret wildlife and the reminiscences of people who used to live at Fradley Junction. There are also six audio posts with recordings of local people talking about the history and wildlife.
