CONWY CASTLE AND TOWN WALLS
The spectacular fortress at Conwy is part of the ‘Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd’ World Heritage Site and one of the top tourist destinations in North Wales. We were asked to design new interpretive signage for the castle and town walls as part of a major revamp of the visitor facilities. The panels are designed to be eye-catching and evocative whilst being sympathetic to their surroundings. They feature bold headings, brief text and powerful reconstruction drawings to tell the dramatic history of the castle. Backgrounds feature swords, manuscripts, chains, coins or medieval stained glass to create a strong atmosphere and reinforce the stories.
